While in New Zealand recently, I spoke with Kim Hill about stripping, feminism and—unexpectedly!—ayahuasca.
This week I'll be talking Two Decades Naked at Dymocks Camberwell's First Tuesday Book Club, along with novelist Elise McCune and crime writer Robin Bowles. Come along!
Excited to be taking part in WORD Christchurch next weekend, talking work/sex with Kate Holden, Jodi Sh. Doff and Julie Hill. If you're in town, pop along!
Two Decades Naked was officially launched by Sian Prior, my mentor and creative nonfiction teacher at RMIT. Here's a link to her launch speech.
It was super fun talking stripping attire and strange customers with Triple MMM's Ugly Phil, who used to flat with three strippers back in the day. I'm on around the 8-minute mark.
A lovely write-up from the New Zealand Women's Weekly
While in Sydney I had a lengthy chat to ABC Overnights' Rod Quinn about all things stripping.
It's been a magic week launching Two Decades Naked into the world, beginning with two action-packed days in Sydney where the awesome team at Hachette made me feel very welcome. I got to meet some lovely booksellers, told my stories on radio and shared why I wrote the book. Here are some sightings of Two Decades Naked in the wild, both in Australia and New Zealand. (In New Zealand it comes with garnish!)
Just two more sleeps until my book is available in stores!!
